September 9 – October 13, 2011

Th!nkArt Salon is proud to present the work of two outstanding Chicago artists: John Miller and Adam Clement. Two different ideas of abstraction mingle in An Alternate Reality: John Miller’s digital paintings juxtapose everyday objects taken out of context and treated with a wild array of fluorescent coloration, while Adam Clement’s abstract forms strip down shapes and patterns to their bare essential qualities, displaying them only in relation to themselves.

The work of both John Miller and Adam Clement pose questions about our perceptions of reality: how we view everyday objects and forms, and the way in which we interpret the relationships between them.

An Alternate Reality will run from Friday, September 9th through Thursday, October 13th 2011 at Th!nkArt Salon, 670 W. Hubbard St., First Floor, located in the West Loop gallery district in Chicago, Ill. Th!nkArt is pleased to announce that the artists will be present at the opening reception.

The conversations between the abstractions of Chicago artists John Miller and Adam Clement force us to examine the nature of seeing and how we perceive our individual realities.
