Th!nkArt, Chicago’s international art gallery and policy salon, presents the premiere of War and Peace, new works by artists: David Gista (bio), Dave Sheehan and Todd Narbey (bio). This thought-provoking exhibition reflects on the oppositional forces of war, the universal desire for peace, and its inherent contradictions.

Inspired by the artist’s works, War and Peace, incites questions about the implications of the ambiguity between violence and solace, destruction and construction, play and aggression, innocence and cynicism.

War and Peace debuts with a two-day opening Vernissage on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13, 2009. Thursday night features a poetry reading by award winning poets Emily Calvo and Stella Vinitchi Radulescu. The exhibition runs until Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Th!nkArt Salon, 1530 N. Paulina Street, Suite F in the Wicker Park gallery district in Chicago, Ill.

Known contemporary artists, David Gista and Todd Narbey, will accompany the insightful, emerging artist, Dave Sheehan, for this stimulating exhibition featuring a combined total of more than 30 new works.
