Ricardo Ramirez was born in Puerto Rico in 1958.  He studied at La Escuela de Artes Plásticas at the University of New York in Purchase, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in the Fine Arts. He received honors in the areas of painting, lithography and photography.  In 1996 he received a scholarship from the Arana Foundation.  He studied under the painter Nicholas Marsicano in the University of New York along with the famous professor of graphics, Antonio Frasconi.  Since then he has been artistically active in Paris, France.
